Demented are Go are a Welsh psychobilly band that was formed around 1982 in Cardiff. They were one of the earliest crop of psychobilly bands, and as a result, are considered to be influential to the psychobilly scene. Their name is often shortened to "DAG." The band often claims their name originated from the phrase "Demon teds are go!," an adaptation of the phrase "Thunderbirds are go!" from the Thunderbirds TV series, as fans of rockabilly are known as teds and psychobilly is often associated with horror.

Kicked out of hell...well Demented Are Go probably would be! This classic second album released in 1988 on ID Records set the tone for the bands unique brand of Psychobilly mixed with Punk. As the music got heavier so did the subjects and lyrics. "Satans Rejects", "Cripple In The Woods", "Decomposition" and "Sick Spasmoid" made sure of almost no airplay ever! But set the band up as respected musical innovators by both Psychobilly and Punk factions, hence DAG's successful appearances at many Punk festivals
